Straßburg ist die Hauptstadt Hauptstadt des Département Bas-Rhin und Sitz verschiedener europäischer Institutionen. Straßburg hat ca. 252.000 Einwohner verfügt über vier normalspurige Straßenbahnlinien. Diese werden von der Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS) betrieben. Seit 1994 sind die Eurotrams im Einsatz, 2003 wurden 35 Alstom Citadis (+10 Optionen) bestellt, die Auslieferung der 100%-Niederflurstraßenbahnen erfolgt ab Mitte 2005.

Strasbourg is the capital of the french Département Bas-Rhin and seat of some Euopean institutions and has approx. 252.000 inhabitants. It has four normal gauge tramway lines. They are provided by Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS). Since 1994 the Eurotrams are in service in Strasbourg, in 2003 some 35 Alstom Citadis (+ an option for another 10) were ordered and will be delivered from mid 2005 on.
