Kaunas O-Bus trolley

Kaunas ist Litauens zweitgrößte Stadt und war von 1920 bis 1940 litauische Hauptstadt. Heute hat sie ein umfangreiches O-Busnetz, das am 31.12.2025 sein 60jähriges Bestehen feierte. Anfang 2026 waren 138 Busse im 136 km langen Netzwerk im Einsatz, naja 141, denn drei Škoda Tr14 zählen auch noch zum Bestand.

Kaunas is Lithuania's second largest city and was the Lithuanian capital from 1920 to 1940. Today, it has an extensive trolleybus network, which celebrated its 60th anniversary on 31 December 2025. At the beginning of 2026, 138 buses were in operation on the 136 km long network, well, 141, because three Škoda Tr14s are also still part of the fleet.
