Hauptbahnhof

Hier startet die U5 für die Fahrt nach Osten. Die Wände sind mit Bildern früherer Berliner Kopfbahnhöfe versehen. Nördlich der Station befindet sich eine Wendeanlage, bei einem Gleis gab es die Möglichkeit U-Bahnwagen einzubringen, da in der Zeit von 2009 bis 2019 keine Gleisverbindung zum Restnetz bestand. Selbstredend die mannigfachen Umsteigerelationen zur Straßenbahn, S-Bahn und den Bahnlinien.

This is where the U5 departs for its eastbound journey. The walls are decorated with pictures of earlier Berlin terminus stations. To the north of the station is a reversing facility, with one track offering the possibility of bringing in underground cars, as there was no track connection to the rest of the network between 2009 and 2019. Of course, there are many connections to the tram, S-Bahn and other railway lines.
