Das U-Bahnnetz in Frankfurt ist 65 km lang, wurde 1968 eröffnet und hat insgesamt 87 Stationen, von denen 27 unterirdisch sind. Technisch handelt es sich eher um eine Stadtbahn, da die Linien auch teilweise im Straßenbereich unterwegs sind und den Individualverkehr kreuzen.
The underground network in Frankfurt is 65 km long and has some 87 stations of which 27 are beneath the surface. Opening was in 1968. Technically the underground is more a LRV (light rail vehicle) – system as the lines are also crossing streets at the same level and some stations are like stops of tramways.
