Athen hat ein 2 Linien umfassendes, T-förmiges normalspuriges Straßenbahnnetz, das 32,5 km lang ist. Aufgebaut wurde es im Vorfeld der Olympischen Spielen 2004 mit 50% Kostenbeteiligung der Europäischen Union. Die Verlängerung von SEF nach Piräus wurde im Dezember 2021 eröffnet, womit auch eine Umorganisation von drei (T3, T4, T5) auf zwei Linien (T6 und T7) stattfand.

Athens has a T-shaped standard gauge tram network with 2 lines, 32.5 km long. It was built in the run-up to the 2004 Olympic Games with 50% cost sharing from the European Union. The extension from SEF to Piraeus was opened in Dec. 2021. Originally three lines were in service (T3, T4, T5), reorganised in Dec. 2021 to the two lines T6 and T7.
